Similar to last month’s greeting; I think today is the best weather day of March. I’m out on the deck writing this summary, enjoying an 80 degree, cloudy and breezy afternoon. March weather was a wild ride for us. A winter storm with snow, severe weather that had us sitting next to the storm shelter in the shop (we were ready to dive in) but it wasn’t necessary. A few REALLY cold days and then the warmest day of the month today.

Did I accomplish anything in March ? I got a few things done, and wasted a lot of time online, keeping up with US and world events. By declaring war with Iran, the unpredictable world we now live in, became intensely more chaotic, with global threats to international supply chains, and the possibility of becoming a wider armed conflict, and who-knows-what just around the corner. I tell anyone who will listen; we are living in a pivotal moment on our planet, brought on by the Trump administration. NO ONE (not a single human on earth) knows when and how this will end. Sooner the better. Rant over.

Looking back at my February summary, noticed my claim to complete the great room bookshelves. Nope. lol Ordered the veneer two weeks ago, materials arrived last week. Oh well, what the hell… I’ll try really hard to complete this project in April, but a number of competing projects are threatening that goal.

This month’s featured image looks a LOT like the image from November. C’mon… I was optimistic that winter weather would abate long enough for me to get a solid start on the shed. Nothing ventured- nothing gained. Getting the shed completed is the number one priority now that Spring is here. I have several other projects that cannot commence until this project is completed. I hope to have good news regarding shed construction progress for the April summary.

Nothing new to report on the crow-bro hobby. I no longer see any crows stopping by, and while it’s not what I want, it’s OK. Truly, I’m not bothered by the current situation. We are starting from scratch. Nothing else to say.

We have re-hired Kyle Thompson to complete painting the house interior trim. If you’re curious, go back to week 65 (July 10-16) We were renting and living in, a shit hole for a home, and made the decision to move into our new home, the moment we had an occupancy permit. Kyle is back, completing the interior finish work we never completed. He and I will be constructing the shed in a few days.

Survived winter. So happy to be outside without winter gear.
